BIAA Vice-President Sir David Logan has recently given an interview for the Journal of Anglo-Turkish Relations, in which he discusses political issues affecting UK-Turkey relations during his time as a junior diplomat in Ankara in 1965-69 and again as ambassador in 1997-2001.
Amanda Yeşilbursa interviewed Sir David Logan on the diplomatic, economic, military and cultural relations between Turkey and Britain. They then expanded upon relations in the broader geographical area, more recent political developments and finished with his personal experiences in Turkey. Sir David Logan provides an insightful commentary on his time at the British Embassy in Ankara, which will be of interest to anyone following UK-Turkey relations over recent decades.
