Information on the facilities the BIAA has to offer.
The BIAA hosts lectures and other events in its Wolfson Foundation Conference Room.
The conference room has a capacity of 75 people seated in a lecture room format and up to 35 people in seminar room format. The room has access to internet, an overhead projector, sound system and audio recording.
The BIAA will also consider hosting conferences, workshops and academic events organised by other institutions or individuals at the Wolfson Foundation Conference Room, subject to the compatibility of the suggested event with the BIAA’s disciplinary remit in the humanities and social sciences.
The Institute maintains a guesthouse a short distance from its library and offices. The guesthouse has four bedrooms, two with double and two with single beds, bathroom with bathtub and shower, separate WC, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with TV with local and international channels. The guesthouse is on the ground floor, but guests should note that entry to the building requires climbing a few steps.
Anyone wishing to stay at the guesthouse must first become a member of the Institute and provide proof of academic status when booking. Bookings for use of the guesthouse must be made at least 48 hours in advance and during office hours.
