With great sadness the BIAA announces the passing of Gina Coulthard after a short illness.
Gina was a student of Classical Civilisation, Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick, and she participated for a number of years in Black Sea projects at Amasra and at Çiftlik near Sinop. Gina was an exemplary London Administrator from 1994 until 2007, exhibiting charm, determination and good humour through the tenure of a number of Ankara directors. Her dedication to the Institute continued with her move to Canberra in 2007, from where she continued to manage the publication of Anatolian Studies and the successful BIAA archaeological monograph series, and edit Anatolian Archaeology, now Heritage Turkey. Our condolences go to her partner, her daughter and her family in Britain. We will all miss her greatly.
