The BIAA has established a scholarship in memory of David Edwin Jameson, who worked in Turkey with the support of the Institute in 1961, and was greatly impacted by the country and its people. Thanks to generous funds donated by his sister Shelagh, this scholarship will support doctoral candidates who wish to undertake fieldwork in Turkey.

The scholarship is intended to fund fieldwork relating to the study of the region during the Greek, Roman, or Byzantine periods. Applicants should be enrolled in a PhD programme at a recognised UK Higher Education Institution.
