Researchers across the entire career spectrum (from postdoctoral fellows to senior academics), of any nationality working in the UK or abroad for a UK Higher Education Institution, as well as researchers directing projects that are formally and demonstrably based in the UK, are eligible to apply for a BIAA Research Grant.  Projects should be located within the field of the arts, humanities and the social sciences and should be related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea region.

07/10/2019 15/11/2019 BIAA Study Grants

Projects should be located within the field of the arts, humanities and the social sciences, and should be related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea region.

07/10/2019 15/11/2019 BIAA Large Research Grants

Project Directors of any nationality working in the UK or abroad for a UK Higher Education Institution, as well as researchers directing projects that are based formally and demonstrably in the UK, are eligible to apply for a BIAA Research Grant of up to £20,000.  Projects should be located within the field of the arts, humanities and the social sciences and should be related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea region.

07/10/2019 15/11/2019 BIAA 2020 Research Scholar Candidates should have completed a Master’s degree no more than eighteen months prior to the application deadline, and confirmed results at the time of appointment will be favoured.  Applicants must be intending to conduct research at doctoral level.  The research undertaken at the BIAA should normally be preparatory and designed to underpin a PhD funding application.
Basic knowledge of database building, good command of Excel, basic to moderate skills in image and video processing and good communication skills are essential criteria for this post. Applicants must be normally resident in the UK and must have a demonstrable connection with a UK academic institution.
21/10/2019 01/12/2019 ‘Critical Debates in the Archaeology of the Middle East’ BANEA Conference Student Poster Prize! Undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at a UK Higher Education Institution are eligible to participate. 
Entrants must declare their intention to take part in the abstract submission field of the Conference Registration Form by 1st December. Please declare your intention with: “I intend to participate in the poster competition” beneath an abstract detailing your research.  
If accepted, entrants must arrive at the conference with a printed poster no later than 11:00 on 9th January. Posters must be printed on paper, A1 in size, portrait format.
 
28/10/2019 22/11/2019 BIAA Deputy Honorary Treasurer Candidates should have experience of financial management in the commercial or not-for-profit worlds and, ideally, hold an accountancy qualification.
