The BIAA Library’s Cultural Heritage collection currently comprises approximately 200 volumes, almost exclusively in English. Established around 2013, the collection covers a wide range of cultural heritage topics, including museum studies, heritage in conflict zones, and heritage-related work in various regions worldwide, such as Bosnia-Herzegovina and Georgia.
The collection aims to build on these strengths while also expanding holdings in key areas, including public archaeology; the illicit trafficking of heritage materials; cultural heritage in conflict zones; digital cultural heritage and archaeology (both theory and practice); and cultural heritage management and tourism.
Although the scope of the collection is limited, the library welcomes acquisition requests from members and is keen to receive donations from cultural heritage practitioners.
