Sean Swanick holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from the University of Exeter as well as a MLIS from Dalhousie University. He previously worked at Duke University as the Middle East, North Africa and Islamic Studies Librarian and McGill University as the Islamic Studies Librarian. He has curated several exhibitions including on the famed Ottoman printer, İbrahim Müteferrika as well as on Turkish and Ottoman cartoons entitled Yasak/Banned: Political Cartoons from Late Ottoman and Republican Turkey.
