Mrs Rosamund McDougall

Rosamund McDougall joined the BIAA Council of Management in December 2017, having already served as Chair of its Development Committee. She has 35 years’ experience in journalism, publishing, environmental campaigning and the operation of both businesses and registered charities. As a financial journalist with The Banker (Financial Times Group) from 1984 to 1991, she covered developments in international banking and finance in more than 20 countries. She then founded a small publishing imprint in the field of education and careers, which she successfully sold in 2001. Following that, she became co-chair of the environmental think tank now known as the charity Population Matters. She has written extensively for newspapers and magazines, has participated in more than 100 TV and radio interviews and debates, and has given lectures on environmentally sustainable population policy. She is a graduate of the Open University and her interests include European history, literature and art.
