Since 1948, the BIAA has conducted and facilitated world-class research on Türkiye and the Black Sea region. Our programme of events for this special year reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting and sharing cutting-edge work across the humanities and social sciences. Special anniversary events include the launch of the BIAA Digital Repository, a special tour of the Pisidia Heritage Trail using the recently published guidebook, a closing conference for the Water in Istanbul: Rising to the Challenge project, an expert panel reflecting on the coming Turkish elections, a conference on the past, present and future of the Konya plain, and many more.
