TURKISH & BLACK SEA SCHOLARS FUND

Application Requirements & Eligibility

In order to proceed with the application you need to download and complete the Application Form from the link at the bottom of this page. Once this is completed it should be emailed to biaa@britac.ac.uk together with the completed Project Budget form by the deadline. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure that your referees have sent their letters of support by the deadline (see the application form for details).

The Turkish Scholars grant is awarded for travel to the UK in order to visit a recognized UK Higher Education Institution and further their research interests (e.g. studying a museum collection, using a university library and/or presenting papers at conferences/workshops); or to travel to the Institute’s premises in Ankara in order to further their research interests by using the collections held at the BIAA’s centre for research excellence. Awards of a maximum of £500 will be offered.

Applications for the TSF fund must be supported by one referee (see details about the reference in the conditions & details document below). Note that you are responsible for ensuring that referee submits the reference by the closing date of the application. Electronic references only will be accepted. The Institute will not contact the referee. Lack of a reference will disadvantage an application.
