Researchers across the entire career scale working in the UK or abroad for a UK Higher Education Institution. Research must cover the fields of the arts, humanities and the social sciences that is related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea littoral.
It is essential that applicants read the notes of the accompanying word document (see link at the bottom of this page) that presents the details and conditions of the fellowship before completing the online application.
The Institute welcomes applications for research that fits within one of the Strategic Research Initiatives currently promoted by the Institute. Details about the Strategic Research Initiatives can be found at the website http://biaa.ac.uk/research/sri
Applications for 2K grants must be supported by one referee (see details about the reference in the conditions & details document below). Note that you are responsible for ensuring that referee submits the reference by the closing date of the application. Electronic references only will be accepted. The Institute will not contact the referee. Lack of a reference will disadvantage an application.
Researchers across the entire career scale (from post-doctoral fellows to senior academics), of whatever nationality working in the UK or abroad for a UK Higher Education Institution, or researchers directing a project that is based formally and demonstrably in the UK are eligible to apply for BIAA 2K Grants. Research must cover the fields of the arts, humanities and the social sciences that is related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea littoral.
Applicants in any doubt about their eligibility or any other aspect of their application are advised to contact the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA), where staff will be pleased to assist.
The deadline for receipt of applications and reference is 28 April 2017. The BIAA Research Committee will consider the applications. The research that will be funded by the institute must be undertaken in the period between May 2017 and March 2018.
