Application Requirements & Eligibility

In order to proceed with the application you need to download and complete the Application Form from the link at the bottom of the page.  Once this is completed it should be emailed to biaa@britac.ac.uk together with the completed Project Budget form by the deadline. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure that your referees have sent their letters of support by the deadline (see the application form for details).

It is essential that applicants read the notes of the accompanying word document (see link at the bottom of this page) that presents the details and conditions of the fellowship before completing the online application.

Support is available to enable an undergraduate or postgraduate student to participate in a fieldwork project, in Turkey or the region of the Black Sea littoral, that relates to Hellenic studies (in its widest sense). The applicant must be based at a UK HEI.

Applications for the SPHS must be supported by one referee (see details about the reference in the conditions & details document below). Note that you are responsible for ensuring that referee submits the reference by the closing date of the application. Electronic references only will be accepted. The Institute will not contact the referee. Lack of a reference will disadvantage an application.
